Prof. Kinga Grzech-Leśniak, DMD, MSc, PhD, is a clinician-scientist and Full Professor serving as Head of the Department of Integrated Dentistry and Director of the Laser Laboratory at Wroclaw Medical University, Poland, with an affiliated Full Professorship at Virginia Commonwealth University, USA. She holds advanced specialization in periodontology and oral pathology and a Master of Science in Laser Dentistry from Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, Rome. Her work is widely recognized and highly cited, reflecting strong translational impact. Her research interests center on photobiomodulation (PBM), antimicrobial photodynamic therapy (aPDT), and nonsurgical and surgical laser applications for periodontal and peri-implant diseases, alongside oral microbiology and pathology to underpin evidence-based, minimally invasive care. Prof. Grzech-Leśniak has received major honors, including the World’s Top 2% Scientists recognition and the Polish Ministry of Health Scientific and Educational Award. She provides extensive international leadership across laser dentistry organizations and directs the EMDOLA European Master program. Prof.Dr. Daniel Paramythiotis is a Full Professor of Surgery at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AHEPA University Hospital), with extensive academic, clinical, and research contributions in general and hepatobiliary surgery. He earned his M.D. from Aristotle University, his Ph.D. in Medicine focusing on pneumoperitoneum and intra-abdominal perfusion, and an M.Sc. in Surgery of the Liver–Biliary Tract–Pancreas from Democritus University of Thrace. He further enriched his expertise through fellowships at prestigious institutions, including Heidelberg University, the Technical University of Munich, and St. Mark’s Hospital in London. With a prolific academic output of 392 publications, including 87 international journal articles, his research has achieved an H-index of 22, with over 1,637 international citations and a research interest score of 967.8. His primary research interests span hepatopancreatobiliary surgery, surgical oncology, minimally invasive techniques, and trauma surgery. Professor Paramythiotis has actively participated in more than 34 international conferences and 110 national symposia, delivering lectures and training sessions while mentoring young surgeons. His scientific excellence has been recognized with 12 awards for research papers and 3 recognition awards for contributions to surgery and medical education. As a committed academic, clinician, and educator, he continues to advance surgical knowledge and patient care worldwide.
