Marwa Hassan is an immunologist with substantive contributions in stem cell biology, molecular immunology, and translational research. She also holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Healthcare & Hospital Management (American University in Cairo, 2020). Over her career she has held roles from resident researcher to acting head of department at the Immunology Division of TBRI, and has organized and led numerous specialized training courses (e.g. stem cell culture, molecular immunology, ELISA). Her research interests include non-coding RNAs, stem cell differentiation, immune regulation in liver disease, and biomarker development. She has published in peer-reviewed journals (e.g. on circulating liver cancer stem cells) and contributed to capacity building via workshops and academic leadership. Her awards and recognitions reflect her dual strengths in research and academic service. In sum, Dr. Hassan combines rigorous scientific inquiry with institutional leadership, advancing immunology and regenerative medicine in Egypt and beyond.

Dr. Giulia Mauri is an accomplished general surgery resident in her fourth year at a leading research hospital in Milan. After earning her Medical Degree cum laude from Università degli Studi di Pavia in 2018, with Erasmus studies in Finland and France, she completed the Italian Board MD exam in 2019. Her training spans across multiple domains: general and HPB (hepato-pancreato-biliary) surgery, pancreatic surgery, upper GI, colorectal, transplant surgery, emergency & trauma, endoscopy, ultrasound, otolaryngology, and interventional radiology. She has also engaged in physician roles in intensive and sub-intensive care, as well as emergency medicine, including service during the COVID-19 pandemic. Her research output includes multiple multicenter cohort studies, technical manuscripts on surgical techniques such as anatomical segmentectomies, assessments of frailty in open abdomen surgery, and studies in gallbladder drainage methods in fragile patients. Assist. Prof. Dr. Avinash Kumar, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor at the Arnold & Marie Schwartz College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, Long Island University, Brooklyn, NY. With a Ph.D. in Biotechnology from the University of Pune, India, his doctoral work focused on biochemical and biophysical characterization of class II α-mannosidases. He completed postdoctoral research at the University of Mississippi Medical Center and National Center for Cell Science, India, investigating transcriptional and post-translational programs driving prostate cancer progression. His research aims to develop personalized and precision medicine strategies targeting metastatic and high-risk prostate cancer, including health disparities in African American men. Dr. Kumar utilizes high-throughput single-cell genomics, transcriptomics, and proteomics in combination with genetically engineered and xenograft mouse models, patient tissues, and complementary cell line studies. He has mentored numerous graduate, undergraduate, and Pharm.D. students, directed the Molecular Imaging Core at LIU, and actively serves on institutional committees and as a reviewer for top journals. Dr. Kumar has published 28 peer-reviewed articles, 5 book chapters, and over 20 conference abstracts, with an h-index of 17 , 873 citations, and 29 publications. He has received multiple fellowships, awards, and research grants and continues to advance translational cancer therapeutics through rigorous preclinical and mechanistic studies.
