Tomáš Mimra is a biomedical engineer and Ph.D. researcher specializing in technical cybernetics and biomedical engineering, with a strong focus on audiology-oriented medical technologies. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Technology and a Master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering from VŠB – Technical University of Ostrava, where he is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Technical Cybernetics. Professionally, he serves as a biomedical and clinical engineer at Ostrava University Hospital, combining clinical practice with applied research and academic supervision. His research interests span ENT phoniatrics, cochlear implantation, hearing aids, auditory evoked potentials, biomedical sensors, EEG and fNIRS-based diagnostics, and intelligent signal analysis. He has contributed to international peer-reviewed journals and IEEE-indexed conferences and is actively involved in national biomedical engineering projects.  In addition to research, he has teaching experience across multiple biomedical engineering courses and has supervised several defended bachelor’s theses. His work demonstrates a strong commitment to translational biomedical research, clinical innovation, and the development of advanced diagnostic and training technologies in modern healthcare systems.
