Ms. Shikha Patel holds a Ph.D. (Part-time) in Pharmaceutical Sciences from Nirma University (2020–present). She completed her M.Pharm (2012) and B.Pharm (2010) from the same institution, securing CGPA of 8.04 (75.4%) and 7.92 (74.2%), respectively. Ms. Patel’s strong academic foundation was further demonstrated in her high school education at Shree Vividhlaxmi Vidyamandir, where she excelled with an 84.8% in Higher Secondary and 90% in Secondary education. Her continuous pursuit of knowledge is evident as she navigates both academia and industry, pushing boundaries in research and contributing to advancements in pharmaceutical sciences. Ms. Patel’s academic background provides a solid framework for her current research and leadership roles, and she is committed to bridging academic learning with practical, real-world pharmaceutical applications.

Ms. Shikha Patel has extensive experience across both academia and industry in the pharmaceutical sector. She served as an Assistant Professor at the Institute of Pharmacy, Nirma University, from January 2020 to July 2022, where she taught and mentored students in Pharmaceutical Analysis. In addition, she held several key positions in the pharmaceutical industry, such as Research Associate at Piramal Pharmaceutical Development Services (2012-2014), Scientist-II at Torrent Research Centre (2015-2016), Executive at Amneal Pharmaceuticals (2016-2017), and Research Scientist at Amerise Pharmaceuticals (2019-2020). Currently, as COO at AssaptR Solutions, she leads operational strategies while leveraging her research background to enhance product development. Her experience spans analytical methods development, bioanalysis, therapeutic formulation studies, and regulatory compliance, allowing her to contribute meaningfully to both academic and industry advancements.

Her work includes the use of advanced analytical techniques like LC-MS, HPLC, NMR, and HRMS to explore the stability, impurity profiles, and degradation mechanisms of small molecules, peptides, proteins, and polypeptides. She is also dedicated to exploring forced degradation strategies for therapeutic peptide formulations, ensuring their stability and safety. Her research extends to the physicochemical characterization of biotherapeutics and the standardization of polyherbal formulations. Ms. Patel is also interested in understanding the regulations and guidelines set by global regulatory bodies for pharmaceuticals, nutraceuticals, and biopharmaceuticals, contributing to safer, more effective therapeutic development. She also focuses on clinical trials for monoclonal antibodies targeting cytokine storms in COVID-19 management, showcasing her versatility in both preclinical and clinical research domains.
