Dr. Enyiew Alemnew Alamerew is a researcher in animal health and vaccine immunology whose work centers on small ruminant diseases and vaccination strategies. After earning his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) from Wollo University and completing an MSc in Veterinary Immunology at the University of Gondar , he joined the Debre Birhan Agricultural Research Centre of the Amhara Agricultural Research Institute where he progressed through Assistant, Associate and Researcher II roles. His work covers designing and evaluating flock‐based vaccination protocols, conducting sero-epidemiological studies, and assessing host immune responses (humoral and cellular) in livestock. With multiple peer-reviewed publications and ongoing manuscripts in review, his research addresses zoonotic threats, immunological methods, and operational challenges in disease eradication. His managerial experience includes coordinating a Boer goat nucleus site and co-advising MSc students on topics in ovine and caprine disease surveillance. Awards and honours are forthcoming, reflecting his emerging leadership in veterinary immunology in Ethiopia. In conclusion, Dr. Alamerew’s dedication to improving livestock health through evidence-based vaccination and immunology research positions him as a valuable contributor to sustainable animal production and disease control efforts.
