Florida International University | United States

Dr. B. M. Golam Kibria earned his Ph.D. in Statistics from The University of Western Ontario (Canada) after completing MSc degrees in Statistics from Carleton University (Canada) and Jahangirnagar University (Bangladesh). He is currently Professor in the Department of Mathematics & Statistics at Florida International University (USA). His research spans applied and computational statistics, biostatistics, environmental statistics, distribution theory, pre-test and shrinkage estimation, ridge regression, predictive inference and simulation studiesThrough his work on shrinkage and ridge methods and predictive inference, he has contributed significantly to statistical methodology and its applications in environmental and health science contexts. In conclusion, Professor Kibria combines strong theoretical foundations with applied impact, making him a distinguished statistician in his field.
