He completed his M.Sc. with first-class honors in 1999 from Agra University and his B.Sc. with first-class honors in 1997 from Himachal Pradesh University. His academic journey began with a Matriculation from Himachal Pradesh Education Board in 1991, where he achieved first-class standing. His administrative roles include serving as the Dean of Research Studies at Central University of Jammu since January 2023 and former roles as Dean of Academic Affairs and other key positions at Sardar Patel University.
