Mr. Mustafa Pehlivan | Gaziantep University | Excellence in Research Award

Gaziantep University | Turkey

Mustafa Pehlivan is an Associate Professor of Botany with an academic background spanning undergraduate to doctoral training in Biology, completed at Çukurova University and Gaziantep University, with doctoral research focused on floristic composition and hemeroby analysis and master’s work on regional herbaceous flora. His academic experience includes long-term service as Doctor Faculty Member and Associate Professor at Gaziantep University, contributing to both biology and medicinal–aromatic plants programs. His research integrates botany, ethnobotany, plant ecology, phytochemistry, and experimental biology, with a strong emphasis on Lamiaceae species, bioactive plant extracts, green-synthesized nanoparticles, and their anticancer, antioxidant, apoptotic, and anti-inflammatory effects on cancer cell lines. He has supervised numerous completed and ongoing master’s and doctoral theses and has served as investigator or principal investigator in many nationally funded research projects, including TÜBİTAK and university-supported grants. His scholarly output is indexed in international databases, with documented publications, citations, and an established h-index reflecting sustained scientific impact. He has contributed to biodiversity inventories, traditional knowledge documentation, environmental contamination studies, and applied biomedical plant research. Overall, his work bridges classical botany with modern molecular and cellular approaches, supporting both biodiversity conservation and translational biomedical science.

Prof. Sanjay Kumar Bhardwaj | Biology and Life Sciences | Research Excellence Award

CCS University | India

Professor Sanjay Kumar Bhardwaj is a distinguished zoologist with over 35 years of research experience, recognized for his pioneering work in photoperiodism, seasonal breeding, light color, and intensity effects in birds. Currently serving as a Professor of Zoology, he has contributed extensively to avian chronobiology and environmental physiology, with 89 research papers, multiple book articles, and proceedings. He has supervised numerous M.Phil. scholars and Ph.D. researchers, led more than 10 major research projects, and secured substantial funding from DBT, SERB, UGC, CSIR, DST, and State Government of U.P. His international exposure includes prestigious INSA Exchange Fellowships, and he has represented India at major global conferences such as the International Ornithological Congress and International Chronobiology meetings. Recognized with honors like the FAEB Fellowship, Research Excellence Award, Rashtriya Gaurav Award, and Lifetime Achievement Award, he has also organized major scientific symposia and workshops at national and international levels. His research continues to advance understanding of avian physiology, biological rhythms, cognition under light pollution, and environmental influences on animal biology.
