Dr. Talal M. Al-Bazali is a distinguished petroleum engineering academic and industry expert with over two decades of combined experience in higher education, research, and the global oil and gas sector. His research spans petroleum economics, oil price volatility, drilling fluids engineering, shale wellbore stability, petrophysical and geomechanical properties of rocks, underbalanced drilling, clay mineralogy, alternative energy, and environmental engineering. Dr. Al-Bazali has led and participated in major funded research projects with Kuwait University, Kuwait Oil Company, and international industry consortia, and has supervised numerous M.S. theses and projects. Beyond academia, he has held senior industry and advisory roles, including Vice President at the World Petroleum Council, and serves on multiple international journal editorial boards.
