He is currently Professor in the Department of Mathematics & Statistics at Florida International University (USA). His research spans applied and computational statistics, biostatistics, environmental statistics, distribution theory, pre-test and shrinkage estimation, ridge regression, predictive inference and simulation studiesThrough his work on shrinkage and ridge methods and predictive inference, he has contributed significantly to statistical methodology and its applications in environmental and health science contexts.
