Mr. Rongliang Liu | Social Sciences | Young Innovator Award

Shaanxi Normal University | China

Dr. Liu Rongliang is an interdisciplinary researcher whose work bridges physical geography, geomorphology, and art aesthetics, with a strong focus on the emerging theory of “Wind–Sand Geomorphic Landscape and Its Aesthetic Theory.” With an academic foundation rooted in oil painting at Chongqing University, where he completed both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees, he later expanded his scholarly pathway through doctoral training that synergized artistic insight with geographical science. His research explores aeolian landforms, desert landscapes, and human–environment interactions through both scientific analysis and aesthetic interpretation. Dr. Liu has published influential work in internationally indexed journals, including Landscape Research, with growing citation counts-0, an increasing h-index-0, and document-2. He has contributed to book chapters, creative research outputs, and innovative studies merging visual art with Earth surface processes. His experience includes research project participation, academic collaborations, and contributions to aesthetic geography. His research interests span aeolian geomorphology, landscape aesthetics, environmental art theory, and interdisciplinary design. Recognized for advancing cross-domain knowledge, he continues to develop theoretical frameworks and visual methodologies that inspire new understandings of desert systems. His career reflects a commitment to innovation, scholarly excellence, and expanding the dialogue between geography and art.
