Dr. Roque Ribeiro da Silva Júnior is a physiotherapist-researcher whose academic journey has progressed from a bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy to a master’s in Health and Society at the Universidade do Estado do Rio Grande do Norte (UERN), and currently a doctoral candidate in Physiological Sciences at the same institution. With specialisations in Human Physiology (UECE) and Traumatology-Orthopaedic Physiotherapy (FAVENI), he brings strong methodological rigour to his work. He has taught courses in human anatomy, physiology of exercise, gerontology and trauma-orthopaedics, and served as preceptor and professor in undergraduate and technical programmes. He has co-authored systematic reviews and meta-analyses addressing high-fat diet and exercise impacts on BDNF, and cashew nut oxidative stress in animal models, demonstrating interdisciplinary reach. His clinical practice as a registered professional reinforces his commitment to evidence-based physiotherapy.
