She also completed her Master’s in Agricultural and Environmental Biotechnology at the University of Perugia, graduating with honors (2006–2008). Earlier, she completed a Bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology (2003–2006), focusing on agricultural biotechnology. Claudia’s academic journey is complemented by international exposure, including a study visit to the National Veterinary Institute in Uppsala, Sweden, for a fellowship in 2014, where she gained expertise in applying Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) technologies to the study of African Swine Fever virus. Claudia Torresi has been working at the Istituto Zooprofilattico Sperimentale dell’Umbria e delle Marche (IZSUM) since 2009, initially as a research assistant and later as a Collaboratore Tecnico Professionale.
